Smart tabs SX on 180?
 

The outwards edge placement as instructed has the upper stabilizer mount coming into contact with the contoured section. Smart tabs advise to only use metal series and not SX. SX lower stabilizer bracket will bind if the angle isn't correct. I think there is enough angle.

Has anybody mounted smart tabs or any trim tabs on an 18'.

Searched the forum and found a picture. Looks like I'll be adjusting my trailer bunks. Page 1 of the long smart tab thread.

I was trying to follow the directions and moving them in will be ok.

I was curious how the tabs worked for you. I have a Diablo 180 (2001 model with the 3.0L). I believe my boat is probably designed the same as yours. I moved mine in toward the center, cut down my bunks, and set them on the third hole (haven't tried the others yet). It really gets on plane fast... so i'm planning on jumping up from my 17p prop to something like a 19p.
