Boo boo today
 

I was picking up my wife at the dock after unloading the boat and had a stiff wind blowing me into the dock. I made it to the dock ok and she got in and pushed the boat off the dock from the front when the wind caught the back of the boat as I was pulling away. To make a long story shorter, I have a nasty looking gash about 3 inches long on the side of the swim platform. I guess I will be trying my hand at gel coat repair. It went all the way to the fiberglass, but I suppose that is just part of boating. The swim platform takes a beating anyway with the grandkids jumping off and reboarding about 100 times a day.

We are trying to get in all of the boating we can in the next 6 to 8 weeks when the season ends here. Today was not a good day on the water. It would rain for awhile, then the sun would peek through, then the wind would blow like crazy, then rain again. We are having some cool weather here in Oklahoma. It's only been highs in the eighties for the past few days......
