New Member needing help with Prop
I am so glad I find this site on the web. It's going to be very nice to be able to help and get help on the Mariah boats.
last fell I purchased a 1997 Z192 with a 4.3/V6. I only had it out a couple of times before the season ended and really do enjoy it. I did nictice that it would take a long time for the boat to plane out on take off, so this winter I pulled the prop off to see what pitch it was and found out that the old owner put an after market prop on the boat with no markings. I am reaching out to see what tpye of props members are running on this model boat. |

Absolutely no markings on the inside of the hub? Oh well, a 19" pitch prop will suit your needs.

Thanks Mikeyt, not one marking any where, I even took it to a dealer as I thought I was going nuts not being able to find it. Would you go with a stainless steel or aluminum?

Re: New Member needing help with Prop
Depends if you boat in a lake/river etc that has underwater objects (dead heads, rocks) that you might hit if not carefull. If so, go with aluminum since they are easier to repair & less expensive to replace. The performance difference between an SS prop and a similar aluminum prop is generally small.
