Prop advice b-3 350 mag

Goodmorning! Wishing i was out on the water, however rhis weekend is a do work around the house kind of weekend! Lol had the shabah 180 out for her maiden launch last weekend, getting familiar with the boat but didnt have a lot of time. One thing i did notice, is that she'll climb to 5000 rpm if you dont watch the trim.
The b-3 has 3 blade 26p, im going to get an extra set of props, should i go to a 27p to bring those rom's down at wot to 4800?
Thanks for any advice!

On pitch up should net you the 200 rpm change you're looking for. What was your WOT speed ? Did she jump out of the hole fast?

Jumps. Literally, i wasn't quite ready for that kind of power and my brother ( passenger) was speechless. You dont even have time to think and its at top speed. The b-3 turns the mariah on a dime and smart tabs help with the hull roll on corners. It was choppy and only had her in for the day, she hit 66 mph, first run and 64 second. Seems like the hull design is incredibly stable. I believe the smart tabs stop the chine walk. She had a slight teeter at top end. Runs really well, idles nice, throttle response is crazy.. Lol
I feel comfortable right now at around 40 mph, but its funny cruising there and hitting the throttle and watching the passenger's neck go back! Haha!
I know compared to a 502 its not much power but its all i'll ever need! Just have to respect, i believe it was andyb who told me " be aware of the beast beneath you"
Now i know what he meant.
The mariah sure does draw a lot of attention... People love these boats!

Power to weight you are on top of things in that size of a boat. If the 66 is GPS you will prob hit 70 with the next pitch up. I don't know if they rate those smart tabs for anything near that speed but damn that sure is fun to go fast! 😂

Also, i was running light, probably with more people and more gear it should bring down those rpm's a bit, 1/2 tank gas and 1 passenger. Maybe if i have time ill try and find a marina who can let you test the prop before purchasing.

Didnt realize the world of prop shopping until now, b-3xr's are nice but you need to lower pitch to match the standard b-3 set up.
Four by 4 has a nice set as well with really good customer reviews, but im partial to stick with oem parts. But those four by 4 are competitive in price.
