have a davanti 215 wont plane new fuel pump new distributor new coupler new cap new wires ne wplugs clean pickup tube new siphon valve . all pistons reading 160 psi
when we get under way at idle no wake and we snap throttle nose goes up rpms at 4k boat wont plane unless passengers go into cuddy one 200lb another 180 .
200lb driver 190 pound passenger in front seats .
also we have a 1:81 ratio drive
with an aluminum 14.5" 19p it feels better but wont plane if we transfer weight forward it planes and hits max speed 38mph at 5200k
with a ss cleaver 14.5 21p cleaver same thing when we transfer weight forward it planes fast goes to 43mph at 4800 rpm
tomorrow gonna put back the 1:62 ratio with the 14.5" 19p aluminum quick silver and see how it goes
i dont under stand why im not getting full rpm when we snap throttle open

The 1.62 ratio is correct for the 5.0L and 4800 is the max recommended RPM's at WOT. I would ditch that cleaver prop, get a 19" or 20" 4 blade prop and install a pair of Smart Tabs.

as per mercruiser i went with my 1.62 ratio drive and a quick siver 14.5 4 blade 18p wish me luck guys

ps this 5.0lx is a dog mecruiser said it only makes 205hp sad very sasd

prop worked with two people half tank of gas gonna try again fully loaded to see what happens
