Ebay - sucking my PayPal account dry... what I've bought.. and what i'm lookin for
Welp.. I screwed up my back and we haven't been able to get the boat out on the water yet because of it (also the reason I have been on here and the FB page so much lately). Apparently being stuck at home.. unable to do anything affords you (no pun intended) more time to spend looking at ebay. I've found this place to be dangerous and highly addictive - especially if you are anxious to boat, but have nothing better to think about then.. well.. what you need/want before you hit the water for the season.
So far i scored a brand new red cockpit cover and bow cover (not for a mariah, or my color choice but I bought it cheap and i'm pretty sure i can modify the Sunbrella material to work). Either way - for 45.00 I couldn't pass it up I also thought about how it would be nice to replace the factory speakers - so I picked up a brand new Kicker Marine component set - also 45.00 with free shipping! I purchased all new Peterson Piranha LED marker lights, heavy trailer cable, new plug, TeqNiq T800 LED tail lights and a new LED ID bar (All American made too!) for the boat trailer.. plus the ID bar has white reverse lights built in. Same seller also ordered me a set of matching all white submersible LED ID bars that I plan on wiring on the trailer to really light it up at night... Scored everything for under 115.00 I also picked up a few sets of LED interior lights along with some super bright aluminum bricked 9w CREE lights to mount somewhere. 25.00 total 2 instant cleats for all the docks we stop at that have missing cleats 16.00 --- only things left on my to buy list are... Marine dual purpose starter battery (Thinking DEKA AGM - Optima's seem to high and have received some bad reviews ever since they moved production to Mexico) goal under (150.00) Marine CD player - leaning toward Sony,Clarion or Alpine (goal under 120.00) Marine sub - just something with a mild thump, possibly already enclosed and amplified (goal under 200.00 amplified) Docking lights (goal under 120.00) VHF Radio (goal used under 75.00) Cobra MR F300 BT Marine Bluetooth (not sure on this one - but looks handy) (goal 50.00 or less) Waterproof USB/Aux input plug - dash mount (goal under 25.00) Keel Guard/Scuff buster (goal under 100.00) 2 cleats for midship - or possibly pop out fender locks/holders (goal under 40.00 pair) ---- if anyone has any suggestions on any of the above, please chime in and give me your thoughts. |

You will defiantly want though's midship cleats. I don't know how you’re supposed to tie up without them?

Yes, I agree. I don't want to hang my fenders from my side glass either. .. the glass is worth more than the boat lol

I'm thinking pop up fender cleats midship then i have the bungee dock ropes for the front and back cleats

I picked up a pair of dock ez instant dock cleats too.. because most of the ones at the local boat ramps have been stolen or pulled off somehow.

I got around to installing some stuff tonight:
First up - My new Mariah Emblem! Which transformed the look of my steering wheel and cockpit :) https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...acca2d587bea4f I also installed one pair of speakers tonight - I still have another pair to do ( I just need to buy a pair of pods of make some yet). I'm also contemplating adding a 3rd pair for in the bow. Unfortunately - when I took the screws out of the cupholder I quicly realized that both were severely aged/damaged. They had both cracked near the screw holes and literally fell apart as soon as I went to remove them. I installed Peterson Piranha LED marker lights, TecNiq LED tail lights, and also have some other lights to install (bunk lights, updated ID bar with Aux. lights - which will replace the Piranha markers and ID bar. Huge difference on brightness... too bad I couldn't get better pictures.
