Bathroom on a bowrider
The 1996 Shabah Z 272 has a bathroom on it. Unforunitely I can't stand in the bathroom. I'm only 5'9". It's a great idea to have a bathroom on the boat. My wife is happy, but I'm not crazy about peeing sitting down, in the event the water is to cold to jump in. I would love to cut out the ceiling and raise it. Anybody got a solution. ? thanks, Paul

Why would you trash a beautiful boat like this?

845 Paulg I have a 2000 Z 272 Open Bow . I would suggest open the door set the porty potta on the foor and have someone hold up a beach towel in front of you. We use our head only in an emergency. THE Head space is tight, but great for storage.I agree that a head on the boat is great for grandkids. Hope my this may help you out. Gary G:wink_thumbup:

Re: Bathroom on a bowrider
Thanks guys. I'm looking for some sort of custom modification that may have been performed by another boat owner.

Re: Bathroom on a bowrider
I know some guys with this type of boat that say it's not too bad - just get on your knees. Personally, I don't see enough room to even do that.

Re: Bathroom on a bowrider
I always kneel when I use my porta potty. Yes it is an inconvenience to have to kneel or sit down, but I do it. It's only for a few minutes, and because I don't want anyone to see me kneeling or sitting, I just simply close the cuddy door.
If you want a stand up bathroom, you'll need to look at a cruiser. Don't "cut out the ceiling and raise it". This will destroy the structural integrity of the upper hull, mess up the streamlined look of the boat, not to mention completely screw the resale value. |
