Fuel / Water Separator Filter Conversion
 

Has anyone done the conversion from the canister type filter to the spin on type?

According to a boat shop here in town nobody is making the canister type anymore and they recommended converting it but, the kit they priced me is $180. I found a canister type on fleabay for $35 so I'll probably go that route for this season but for future reference I was wondering if anyone else thought that conversion price was a little out of hand or if there are any other suggestions?
