Color help

1 Attachment(s)
Hello all,

I wish these forums were as active as they used to be. I browse the forums all the time but feel as though there is never anything new :shakehead:

Anyways, I hope somebody can help, and if the answer is somewhere on the site i apologize in advance. I am looking to get my boat graphics redone. I have a friend who owns a print shop and he said he would do it, i am just worried he will not use the exact same colors that are currently on the boat. I have attached an older picture of it, (not the best picture, sorry), but hopefully somebody knows or can point me in the direction of finding out the answer! The boat is obviously white, and the accent colors are purple, some yellow, and then a blue, green, and possibly a lighter purple color rings around the main portion of the decal? I did not think it would be so hard to find the exact colors, as i do not have access to any manuals or anything as i bought the boat used and what not. The outside matches the interior so I would like them to be as close to the exact same as possible. (for example, i doubt the purple is "purple" in color if that make sense). ALSO, if you guys have any suggestions on different color schemes or anything, I would appreciate the criticism and comments! I am not very artsy or imaginative but i think certain colors besides maybe the blue or green rings would be cool. I do not use the BLUE BIMINI TOP either. (actually selling this one looking for a purple/black one).

Any responses or help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Re: Color help

Ah, the "Laser" graphics package... Yep that one may be a little tricky.

First off, have you contacted Mike Eftink to see if he has any of these? He purchased all of the OEM decals from the manufacturer that made them for Mariah. You can find him on ebay, but people often have a hard time getting in touch with him. He's been very helpful for many, and not so helpful for others. It's worth a try.

But if you're going to have them redone, I believe, (but don't hold me to it) the original vinyls used by Mariah's decal vendor was 3M, and it was from their top of the line metallic flake vinyl series. You'll have to keep in mind your decals were made over 15 years ago, so finding the exact color and vinyl match is going to be a challenge. If your friend owns a print shop that can reproduce colors accurately, he should be able to digitally color match what you've got on there now, and print that design and pattern onto white vinyl.

And yes, we are in the downtime of the website right now as 95% of our members are anxiously awaiting for the start of their boating season to come around. You'll see the activity start picking up within the next few weeks. This has been the trend since we first put the website up 7 years ago!
