Can anyone give me an est. of retail price of a 1999 Z202 with V8 engine and with Captains Choice exhaust and trailer when new ?

Should be around $30k new list price. Will update later today when I can take a look at the price sheets :)

Chris is pretty close.

I bought a '99 202 (not a Z model) brand new w/ trailer from a dealer in Omaha, NE. It was a small block V8. All said and done I paid around $25,000. If I remember right the "Z" package was a $4,000-$5,000 upgrade at that time...

OK, the pricing sheets I have are from 2000, so it may be slightly off, but here's the rundown based on the things you've mentioned.

202 Shabah Pricing

Engines:
5.0L Alpha Drive $28,225
5.0L Bravo 3 $30,120
5.0L EFI Alpha $29,935
5.7L Alpha $30.550
5.7L Bravo 3 $32.455
350 Mag MPI Alpha $33,925

Options:
"Z" Package $4,650
Sound Choice Exhaust $2,120

Trailer:
Single axle $3,070
Tandem axle $3665

Add these together based on your engine and trailer configurations, and you should be pretty close. Now keep in mind, this is MSRP pricing, direct from the factory, so it's likely that there were some sale incentives or price haggling done with the dealer it was originally purchased from.
