Boat sat up
I had to let my 1995 z212 sit up for the past 3 years and need help, November 2010 my 16 year old daughter was diagnosed with acute T-cell Leukemia and underwent 3.5 years of treatment. Thankfully she is now off treatment and doing great. You may have seen the ESPN special about her going to prom withTrent Richardson. My boat however is not doing well. I got it winterized that first year but nothing since. I uncovered it to find some creature made a nest where the stereo should be. That faceplate broke earlier that year. I have wires everywhere and no nothing about boats. Where do I start? We made a lot of great memories own that boat and getting it running again feels like a piece of moving on after cancer. Any direction would be appreciated. Some wires are chewed up etc. I put a new battery in and seem to have no power to any of the gauges.
Thanks Dave |
Re: Boat sat up
hi Dave,
Glad to hear that your daughter is doing well! As for your boat.... First thing i would do is check the fuses in the fuse panel up underneath the drivers console and then clean all of the terminal connections there and at the wiring block located on the rear transom. The usual cause for non-working electrics is a bad ground. The wires in the stereo area should have ID tags on them so that you know what they're for. If you're not re-installing a stereo right away then i would suggest capping them with some electrical tape for protection. |
