tachometer for 2000 182 Shabah
My tachometer on my 2000 Shabah 182 is dead. Anyone know where I can find an exact match WORKING replacement?

If your gauges are the gold trimmed Faria ones then check E-Bay Motors & do a search for "Mariah". There's a vendor called 'Great Lakes Skipper' who generally has the gauges in stock.
You can also access their site directly at www.greatlakesskipper.com |
You might also try checking with Faria directly, they have a replacement policy for their gauges, and I've heard you can get new replacements from them pretty easily and for around $40.

thanks, I had already found Great Lakes Skipper and while he does have a lot of the gauges.. he does not have any tachometers. Bummer. I'll give Faria a call and see what they will do for me. By the way, mine are gold rimmed gauges which just look sharp.

this information is from my 2000 owner's manual. faria has a limited life time warranty e-mail address faria @faria -instruments.com . phone number is 18004732742.

Faria will fix/replace according to warranty
I contacted Faria.. and indeed they will honor the lifetime warranty. The only catch is they charge a nominal fee $30 to replace/repair their gauges once they are out of their 3 year warranty and move into the lifetime phase of the warranty. In the first 3 years its free.. after that they charge you to fix them. I'm going to be taking them up on that since I want either an exact match or a close replica.

Re: Faria will fix/replace according to warranty
Does the lifetime warranty carry over to a second owner? I have an original tachometer for my 99 Mariah Shabah 182 that was removed because it didn't work and I have a Faria tachometer currently installed in my boat that is not working. If I could get the original fixed for $30.00 that's a sweet deal. Please let me know.
