Changing trailer bulb help !

Needing to replace brake light bulb on a 95 Chariot. It's a Weslow submersible. Got it apart and cant figure out how to remove the clear plastic housing the lightbulbs?

I guess you meant to buy a new bulb assembly? Having a hard time getting the original bulb assembly to slide out of the bracket. Afraid to force it as I'm afraid I'll break something.

Yes. It is sealed so no water can get to it.

This is probably a really good time to switch over the trailer lights to a set of submersible LED's. I found it really difficult to find a replacement unit for the original Weslow so simply changed them out. The LED's are MUCH brighter too!

Mikey, which ones did you use?

Cant remember what brand but i did buy a complete trailer LED kit for about $70 Cdn and swapped out the housings & everything about 2 yrs ago. Rather than pull the new wiring thru the trailer though i just spliced into the existing wiring using a skrink-wrap style connector & then coated each connection with liquid electrical.

Double check your ground on that side. Take it apart, file it down & reconnect.

Ground is good at taillight as running lights work.

Well you could hook your trailer up to another vehicle connector and see if they work properly. If the lights work then you know the problem is in the wiring before the vehicle connection. My vehicle connection has a habit of corroding a bit so i spray some WD40 into it and using a bit of sandpaper on the end of a screwdriver just work it around a few times in each female connector.
