I'm thinking about a platform as well, but will maybe go for Wood. Did you ever get the platform fitted? Would love to see the result!

The machine shop that built the platform didnt finish until late last summer, which means its still sitting in my basement.. Lol

I'll see if i can get fired up this weekend and get it mounted and post some pictures.
