You Know When??
 

You know when you love your boat more than the house you own? When you are like me and you put your house up for sale and are willing to move because your garage isn't big enough to fit the boat! It is in storage and not at my house and I can't take it. So I am moving to the country where I can get a barn or build one to have my boat at HOME where it belongs!:D

Totally understand what you mean! My next house is definitely going to have an additional garage big enough for the Z280, the truck, and a mechanics lift.... ahh, wishful thinking... :)

Im building 2 right now 40 by 80 16ft tall for my small business

And a 50 by 60 personal shop/ garage 18ft tall so i can also fit my Rv

I'm just waiting on the sale of the SC21 before I put in the 30×40 pole barn! Its all we really need to keep our projects an toys out of the elements.

Well an actual barn would cost probably 30k my 40 by 80 is commercial grade 8 inch concrete with 24inch beams and all steel building by the time im done ill have right at 70k into it turn key.

Now my personal shop building will have a full bath and a full downstairs and upstairs with a 120ft driveway and it will run me by the time im done turne key anywhere from 100 to 130

I want his Job!! I'm looking at $250 PORTABLE CANOPIES!! If I had not built half of my 24x32 into a sound studio I could get my 202 inside for the winter! Wishing I knew 3 yrs ago I'd own a boat THIS year... lol. I too may builds a small pole barn roof for the boat out on the gravel pad in front of the shop. No neighborhood covenants is a good thing!

whats expensive is the concrete the building and labor is only like 30k but hte concrete is over 40k

And the insulation! I have bids for the foam spray. Its more than the concrete!

i have three vents that are 20ft long on top of building, and there will b 4 14x14 bay doors open most of time, oh yeah and im in Texas so not much need for them, if anything i can always add later

We have one carport....I have a new 35,000 truck and my husband has our 4,500 boat parked under it :)

Oh Texas heat! Its a toasty 10° out right now where I am. Insulation for the cold and to keep the outside dust outside where it belongs.

oh yeah.... the next house will definitely have some sort of heated boat storage, provided my next house is here... i would build something here if my back yard wasn't a hillside!!! a 10 by 20 concrete pad is all i can fit. At least she is at home.
