Apelco Chartplotter 7000 and Antenna

Hi, just purchased a 1989 Mariah z260. Love it! I'm trying to find a replacement for the chart plotter 2000 as the display screen is cracked and isn't working. We also noticed today that the top of the antenna is missing. Any ideas as to where to find? I've tried ebay, craiglist etc...
Thanks
Mike

I would think they are pretty much obsolete. No one seems to keep a model very long.:shakehead:
I'd say it's time for a upgraded unit. :wink_thumbup:
You might check with Raymarine for support , but I would'nt hold my breathe.:(

Re: Apelco Chartplotter 7000 and Antenna

On my Z280, I replaced the old Lowrance Globalmap2000 with the Lowrance Elite-5 Gold earlier this year. It's a bit smaller than the older unit, so I had to build a backing panel to fit in the old unit's place. I'm not sure of the exact measurements, but if I remember correctly, the Raymarine A50 unit was almost an exact replacement. However, the price was quite steep. That's why I chose the Lowrance unit, many more features and options for the $$. With an external antenna and the Navionics gold charts, it ran me about $450. Garmin, Lowrance, and Standard Horizon make good relatively affordable units. Just make sure and research and find which suits your needs best!
