2000 Mariah Shabah---gel coat question
 

My husband and I bought a 2000 Mariah Shabah 22 that has some major dings and scratches. We are going to do the gel coat work ourselves but realized that the boat is slightly two-toned. The lower half is a very light gray. Any advise on how to mix the color correctly or any do's and dont's would be greatly appreciated!

The Marine-Tex procedure I did will work great and not be noticeable under the waterline. I wouldn't recommend it too much for above the waterline, if you're concerned with the appearance of the boat. For that I'd recommend a true gelcoat repair. Mini-Craft of Florida is an OEM gelcoat supplier, and if you need your gelcoat color names, send me a PM with your hull ID number, and I can look it up for you.

We just put on high bond gel coat with wax and hardener from Overtons. Four hours later after application it's still wet. Has anyone used that brand before? Any suggestions?

I don't know the exact product but sounds like the mixture might be off. Not enough hardner?

I am looking for the gel coat colors for my 2000 182 shabah. it is red and ivory.
