Hello everyone how is everyone doing. I haven't been on in awhile been busy. Just wanted to let everyone know how lucky I was last weekened. Brought the boat to the launch when winching down boat from trailer the winch handle bolt from the handle. So I power drove boat onto trl and used safety chain. Well went 20 miles down the road to check and safety chain broke too. Only thing holding boat on was 2 rear tie downs. Very lucky put new winch safety chain hook and 2 new retractable tie downs on. I tell u getting frustrated with boat something breaks every time I go out. I really hope my luck getsbetter or iI will be selling the boat.

My boat trailer had a Shelby winch, and they were nice enough to sell me the new paw and other parts to fix mine. They also sold me a new winch strap with the safety hook, which wasn't on the previous strap. It's scary to think that it was just "floating" around back there (no pun intended). I know that the littlest bumps looked to move mine around if it wasn't hooked on tight. I could see one coming off a trailer if you didn't have all the extra safety measures in place.

I'm sure your luck will get better! Don't sell it though - you'll miss it. Besides, if something breaks every trip - and you fix it - eventually you'll have a brand new boat ;)

I will probably keep it. It has the motor I wanted. Would like to get interior redone next spring.
