alarm from high temp sensor

So I thought it was the drive oil reservoir like everyone has been stating but turns out its from the port side temp sensor. Part number on sensor doesn't match anything I'm finding. Help please.

The first one. I can't get it here before I leave for Florida. Can I disconnect the wire n run with out it. Gauge is reading true. Verified by secondary gauge. I'm very familiar with cars n bikes but still learning boats.

Re: alarm from high temp sensor

Is it a single wire hookup or two wire?
If its a two wire hookup , jumper the wires and go:)
If its a single wire hookup , disconnect , fire motor and see if alarm goes on. If it does , try grounding the wire momentarily while its running to verify. Then , if need be , you can temporarily ground to engine somewhere.

It has one going to each sensor on each side of the housing. If I disconnect the high temp one alarm stops. Going to disconnect it and run till I get back from holidays.
