stern light

Re: stern light
Yes, you can find the manual (that you pull up yourself) extend-a-lights at a few places online. Search for "Innovative Lighting Extend-A-Light". They usually run in the $100 range, and the newer ones are LED.
Finding the powered versions are a huge challenge, as they were discontinued many years ago. |
Re: stern light
Actually the powered ones were discontinued last year. I had planned to buy one last summer and innovative still had them. I waited till this year and now they don't. Sea-Fox sold a few on e-bay recently. Not sure if they have any more. I found a place in Pensacola FL. that listed having one in stock. Cant remember what the name of the dealer was.

Re: stern light
That is the "Extend-A-Light" manual pull-up version. It's also HEAVILY overpriced compared to what they were going for previously.

Re: stern light
I guess I linked the wrong one. Here is the electric one ELECTRIC POP UP STERN LIGHT - CHROME
|
Re: stern light
Here is another place http://www.monstermarinestore.com/pr...?productid=940 , but this is assuming anyone still stocks it.
|
Re: stern light
Couldn't work out why the electric one was cheaper than the manual???
But then I spotted it "CHROME" Not sure if this is an issue with you fresh water guys, But it wouldn't last a month on my boat! |
Re: stern light
I read on another forum that Innovative has a new model that will be released soon since the other model was discontinued. However I don't know how much truth there is to that.

Re: stern light
I wouldn't mind having one - I think the electric function would be pretty neat. However the manual would probably make more sense for my application. I wouldn't mind having a pop up bow light as well. I usually slide into the bow when launching from the trailer or shore. It never fails to attack me.. or try to pants me lol.

Re: stern light
These are Stainless and not just some chromed steel. The chrome refers to the base as they also offered at one time a black base. Innovative told me they would have the manual extend a lights at some point but the manufacturer had not given them an ETA. Last I looked there were a few manual ones on e-bay.
