Finally!

Well, yesterday we finally were able to get out on the lake--guess what? The lake was so high, the no wake flag was posted. I waited 8 months to find a nice day to drive the Mariah, and mother nature throws us a curve. June 24th and that was our first time out this year! At least the boat ran flawless--albiet slow enough to not make a wake!

Just remember, even a bad day on the water is better than being at work! :wink_thumbup:

Exactly! I am just jealous you got her out. I have not even De-winterized Firefly. The overtly dry summer last year here in the Midwest wrecked havoc on my homes foundation and I have spent the last 2 months plumbing, cleaning and getting bids for major foundation repairs!

Bless your luck to be on the water at all!

Not on the water today. We got 5" of rain last night! The lake is closed!

Re: Finally!

You could always send some my way! Not that it is possible. The lake here is the lowest since 2003 when we had a real drought. We are not too far from hitting that record low level again...

Our son came to get our boat and went to Lake Geneva to play. Today he is going to Table Rock Lake in Branson, Mo. At least one family member is using our Mariah! They will be down there 7 days.

Re: Finally!

File us in the "haven't broke the boat out" category. Between having back surgery.. and the constant bad weather.. we haven't dewinterized ours. I have had time to update my CD player and speakers.. lights, and a few other things.. not to mention working on the trailer (new LED lights, etc). However, it's just not the same siting in it on land pretending to float around lol.

Here is why we haven't been out recently. The Ohio River is well above it's usual level and the debris (I could catch very well from my phone). Have been awful. The water is so dirty that I would be afraid to run it through my motor.

This is a small brush patch going down stream - I watched a huge one suck under those barges before I could get my camera out.

These guys are all from out of town - I doubt they even know that the water is up (granted it has, and does get MUCH MUCH higher than this) Actually.. it'll get up toward those houses on occasion.

Local Marina is partially covered in water :(

Doesn't look to bad at this angle lol... but it's still nasty out there. Sure hope it clears up SOON

After seeing your situation--I'll never complain again!

Re: Finally!

I could probably take it out. . Actually saw some other boats on the water earlier. I'd just rather play in mud with my atv instead of my boat lol
