lunch time run out

Sun was out,
A lunch time spring tide beckoned.
So decided to head out of Ashlett creek for a quick spin.
this is my local slipway (At the bottom of my lane) but very tidal and dries out to nothing but mud at low tide!

Despite it being “VERY” tidal the beauty of launching at Ashlett is you’re straight out into the Solent.
This soon wore of as the Solent was at its choppy best. headed over to Osborne bay (isle of wight) which was empty! And looking around I noticed that it was just the big boys out playing today!
Paige (my daughter) wasn’t too keen so we shot across to hill head then headed for the river Hamble.

Nice trip up river for a pint at the jolly sailor then it was time to head back.

I've noticed that I get to do less and less driving these days!

Quick blast up and down Southampton water to burn of some of that nasty fuel then back into Ashlett creek.
Timed it about right as the water dropped 9 inches in the time it took me to recover the boat.

Launched at 10:50 recovered at 14:30, so still over 3hrs on the water
