What are the three positions? Accy, off and run? Mostly curious about the position to the left.

I just wasn't sure if it was supposed to be the off position and i was leaving power on to something unintentionally by leaving the switch in the straight up position.

Nope. You're good. I think the key only comes out in the straight up position.
