Did Mariah offer snap on covers as an factory option? i found a company that makes the covers for many manufactors and they alot of OEM patterns. And how would i be able to tell if my snaps were installed by factory or aftermarket?

Everything is 'aftermarket' now for the original Mariahs and we do have a vendor (RNR Marine) in our Original Parts & Vendors List who states they can do original Mariah covers.

I have an original Mariah snap on cover and it should be recognizable by the original Mariah logo on each side.

I dont have the cover. Didnt come with when i bought it. is there any way to tell if snaps were installed by factory? dont want to purchase one and find out snaps dont align!

Your best bet is to have a custom one made. That'll guarantee a perfect custom fitting cover. Sure it costs a little more, but it's worth it. Universal covers & most aftermarket covers don't line up. Every boat is different.

Any snap on cover I've ever had made, came WITHOUT the snaps being pre-mounted. They come with the cover, for YOU to install exactly where you want them. This includes factory canvas.

Agreed. When i had my custom canvas done, the installer simply used the existing snaps already mounted on my boat.

ok since they are already installed on boat by previous owner or factory. Either way i have to have custom ones made. correct?

Yes you will be better off with a custom cover and there is no reason why it cant be made to fit the existing snaps. Now they made have to add a couple depending on exactly where yours are located to make the cover fit snug.

Actually, we made all of the 2002+ Mariah Canvas and Covers for Sea-Fox, so its not after-market. Its the Factory Original-Equipment (OEM) canvas and covers that you would have gotten with your boat (or through your dealer) with four differences:

1. we cannot produce the Mariah logo, since Sea-Fox has it copyrighted,
2. you can order ANY color Sunbrella marine fabric (include the nice looking tweeds),
3. we do not charge Sales tax,
4. mention MariahOwnersClub for free shipping (we'll rebate the shipping immediately)!

If you are replacing a cockpit cover or bow cover (where you already have snaps in place on the boat), you can order the canvas without the snaps installed in the canvas. We have a nice snap tool for about $50 that you can use to precisely align and install the canvas (female) button snaps (we provide all snaps) to align with the male snaps already installed on your boat.

We recommend having us instal any snaps in any canvas that snaps to the windshield, as the windshield snaps on your boat clip-on and can be easily be moved for alignment.

I own a 1998/182 Shabah. Any how already have oppointment wih shop to take it back and have one installed. But thank you for the reply!!!
