Outdrive Muff?

Hello Club!

I recently purchased my first boat...a 1995 Talrari 220. Can anyone recommend an outdrive muff brand?

I have seen some recent examples on the web ranging in price from $5.50 to $13.00. These prices seem pretty cheap to me.

Thanks for the help.

I prefer the dual feed style.
I think the ones I got are Shoreline and were like 25.00.

BTW: Welcome to MOC!! :)

I went to West Marine and bought the cheapest ones they had. for like $17. Works great

I've always used cheap ones just fine myself.
My mechanic highly recommends using the kind that the ears attach together so they can't fall off. I'm sure if you use them a lot by yourself that piece of mind would be nice.

He uses something like this:

Good post. Was wondering this myself. Been reading up on them. I had not seen the ones that connect to each other. I like that.... Looks super simple too.

Ive used the single feed for years...never a problem. Though I do recommend you have someone standing by and watching at all time just to be sure.
