Looking to Buy a 1997 Mariah Jubilee z244

Hi everyone, this is my first time on this forum so please give me all of your insight and help if you will. I am looking to purchase a 1997 Mariah Jubilee z244, which is of course a 24.4 foot deck boat. It only has 370 hours on the engine. It has a Mercruiser 350 with bravo 3 drive. and thunderbolt ignition, Twin props. Trim tabs, porta potty, fresh water sink, holds 14. It also includes a tandem axle trailer with brakes that goes with it. Boat has been serviced regularly and is a 2 owner boat only! It has a new Bimini top and boat cover.

I am going to see it this weekend and, as long as everything checks out, probably make an offer. Can you tell me what the fair market value for this boat would be, and what would be a good price to pay? Also, what should I be looking out for in regard to major repair things. Anything else you can tell me about this boat model, in general, would be much appreciated!

Engine use is relatively low so that sounds good & that it has been regularly serviced is good also. But i would want to see copies of invoices for those services & look for any recent major repairs to be sure. With any older boat, check to be sure the electrics all work particularly the outdrive trim sensor which fails frequently and is a pita to replace as the outdrive has to be removed. Check that the interior trim pieces are in good condition as they can be difficult to find and same with the porta potty door & windshield glass. An 'on the water' test would be in order also.

As for $$, i'll have to leave that one to our members south of the border. I would be searching online for other similar Mariahs to see what they are asking as well as checking the NADA site which while not always accurate can be a decent guide.

Diffanately what Mikeyt said . Make sure the head doors are intact and wind screen. I'm still trying to fabricate mine. Good luck.
