Which boat is the same as mine?

I was curious which boats are similar to my 2001 Diablo 180. I am trying to find a cover and went to savvyboater and they do not have a 180 listed. I was curious if the newer SX18 or SX19 is the same shape/size as mine. Also, was there a nicer version of my boat?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick

hi Nick. The new Mariahs were built on a different hull so while it may be possible a cover from a new 180 might fit it is unlikely it will fit correctly. No, there was no "Z" version of the 180/200 Diablo in 2001.

Is the hull different on the early SX series boats? The dash, interior layout and design of the hull looks almost identical in pictures... however I've never seen one in person.

I think I need a cover....or some suggestions. I just spent 160 on having "some" new straps/ buckles installed... two pole style vents..plus had it washed and waterproofed. Yet it still leaks.. possibly worse... plus I can see pin holes along the top seam the full length of the stitching bow to stern...which obviously leaks. The upholstery shop that worked on it said it had quite a bit of life left... yet when I called to ask about the waterproofing/leaking he told me the cover may never take to waterproofing due to the wear and age? Obviously suggesting its beyond his control??? He supposedly used aquatite or something with a similar name? I tested the cover with my garden hose on mist to simulate it raining. The cover soaked up water and dripped throughout 60% of it... other sections shed water without issue. Any idea how I may be able to seal my cover, and reinforce/seal the seams? I'm on a slight budget... but don't know why the cover didn't take to the waterproofing. Local boat shop told me to spray it with thompsons ws, another said scotch guard, and the last said 303. 303 is 100.00+shipping though.

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Cover looks nice for age, and before our ownership 3 years ago had always been stored inside. If I can seal it and the seam up the center I think it will be fine. Especially for the winter once I tarp it. I plan on buying/making additional supports incase we get heavy snow... as it will be outside another year :(

Thanks again,
Nick
