98 Z255 Shabah - New Rub Rail

I have a 98 Z255 Shabah and I want to replace the factory rub rail. I already have the new rubber insert but, I also want to replace the aluminum rail itself. Does anyone have experience with this type of repair? From what I have seen, you have to bend the new aluminum rail to fit your boat? Are there any other options? I like the look of the newer boats that have what looks like stainless steel inplace of the rubber rub rail.

There is this option:

TACO Flexible Vinyl Rub Rail Replacement Kits with Inserts at West Marine

Haven't used them before but Taco was one of Mariahs if not the only one that supplied the rub rails for our boats.
I have seen the SS insert style on Ebay too.
