elect seat switch

Hello to Everyone; pulled the bravo 1 on my 97 Z-252 Shabah last wk. was concerned had water in the bellows, as the trim switch had gone to full up and woudn't move. Everything looked good inside, just a little grease in the bellows from the gimbell brg.,flushed the gimbell tube with fresh 2-4 c, greased the u-joints removed all the old grease from the tilt switch repacked & adjusted it.Everything works great .!st. time i've pulled the drive by myself, trust me you need a friend to help put it back.I know the thread has been posted before but i need an elect. seat switch, one of the terminals is fried. Can you remove the switch cover or does it come with the new switch. Thanks in advance to all the Mariah owners, this is a great, great site.

Re: elect seat switch

I think you have the Carling Switches. The switch is actually 2 pieces, 1-the Rocker Switch, 2-the Actuator (or the cover). The actuator is removable, but not easy without the removal tool.

I recently bought switches, actuators and the tool from New Wire Marine they are very well priced and shipped quickly, they have many switch options and the actuator removal tool, but not a 'Seat Position' Actuator which it sounds like you don't need anyway.

New Marine Wire - Rocker Switch Bodies

Good luck...

Re: elect seat switch

thanks Briarvander, I ordered the switch along with some spares from R&R Yacht Service in florida this morning ,Rick told me they have thousonds of them . They don't list them all bsecause they have such a turnover in inventory, these people are very helpfull.Good prices also only 5$ frgt. They have enough parts to build a boat, don't waste your time online give them a call and they find it quckly. Thanks again
