Have a few questions before we buy.. 1993 Mariah ZC 2200

Well we have a 2007 Gulfstream Camper up on Craigslist and someone offered us a 1993 Mariah ZC 2200 with the 300 Magnum Engine with Cuddy Cabin. We were asking $12,800 and he was wanting an even swap. All electronics work etc..The boat has new exterior upholstery with good original cabin interior, and he says he's installed $3000 worth of stereo equipment and the motor has 500 hours. The outdrive has been replaced by a mechanic and has a non conditional warranty. The trailer has 3 new tires, and the drum brakes have been overhauled. Is it worth the swap? Thanks in advance!

IMHO..... I have no idea what a 2007 Gulfstream camper is worth in todays marketplace but i dont think the Mariah is worth quite the amount of money you're asking for the camper.

Thanks, the Mariah was 25K new, and our Gulfstream was $23,000 new. We are trying to decide if it's fair, were these good models?

Does it really matter what they were worth new? To me only today's value is what matters. Mariah changed their models in 1994 and as such the name ZC disappeared. They were relatively good boats at the time but the boat is 19 yrs old so personally i would be checking it very carefully before considering a trade. I suspect that for the kind of money you are wanting for your Gulfstream, you could use that money to buy a newer late '90's Mariah in decent condition.
