HELP-Looking at Buying a 00 Mariah Shabah 212-

I am seriously considering buying a 2000 Mariah Shabah 212, 21 ft 5.0L , Open bow boat..
I dont see many of these on the West Coast and was looking for some info good or bad before purchasing this boat. It has 235 hrs on it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

There really isn't much to tell you on this boat. Mariah's are very well built boats and if properly maintained will be very reliable. However if not well maintained they can be a little pricey to put right due to the difficulty in finding parts specific to the boat such as glass/interior trim pieces & console pieces. The 5.0L will give you decent & relatively economical performance in that boat and if accurate, 235 hrs is just nicely broken in.

As for what to look for, check that all of the electrics (trim/tilt switches & gauge, power hatch if you have it) work properly. I'm assuming that this is a base model rather than a "Z" or "LE" model so it wont have a lot of extra 'goodies' on it.

Hey partner, I can give you an insight from someone standing in exactly your shoes six or seven months ago. I loved the boat. Same as yours, but a year older. Bought it. Just sent it through the marine mech inspection, then a new tonneau, then about 2 weeks in the driveway while I fixed up a few smaller details, THEN TODAY, first day wet. Ran her out,.... perfect. and when we pulled into our slip several folks we never even knew stopped by just for a look. Oohs and Ahhs, Great looking boat and so far a nice runner too.
So good luck to you hope you do as well.

We have an older Z212 and absolutely love it. Its a very easy to trailer size and yet roomy enough for several. If you want a well made boat, find a Mariah to buy. There can be other nice boats, but these are just too well made to ignore.

Where are you on the west coast? We are near Olympia in Washington, and its true, I rarely see another Mariah cruising around but there are a few. Other brands are more popular in our area, but you should really try out the Mariah.
