would a 5.0 in a 209 Talari be underpowered
 

Hey guys, im looking for another Mariah. I found a 97 209 Talari with a 5.0 for a good buy. I was wanting some input on the boat motor combination. I am worried about it being a little underpowered. Any thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.

Nah. The 5.0 will provide a decent combination of performance & fuel efficiency in that size boat.

John - I have a 98 202 Shabah with the 5.0. It really is a good performing boat and does not seem underpowered at all. Jumps up on plane real quick and easy on gas. Good luck!
