I'm really not sure if the new Mariah mounted theirs the same way as the original Mariahs but....i would take a couple of good digital photos of the back of your dash (thru the access) to record where all of the wiring goes to before i start to remove anything. There is likely a mounting bracket with a couple of nuts on the backside holding the gauge in place. Once they are removed the tach should push straight out.

Was the tach broken / not working? Faria has a lifetime warranty on their products but first i would check the connections to be sure its not just a bit of corrosion causing problems. I would also give the small dial on the back of the tach a spin or three and re-set it at "8 cyl" then see if it works.

Just wanted to point out, if it's not obvious. The gauges all come out from the front (the glass side of the gauge), they'll need to be pushed FROM the back. They don't push through to the back. You'll ruin the dash if you try and push them through to remove from the back.
