power antenna
Would like to know if anyone can help me find power antenna retaining nut. Noticed my antenna dropped down below, still works just does'nt have the retaining nut to hold in place. It's a 2001 Z212 Mariah. Any help on were I could get one would be much appreciated.

Re: power antenna
Why not just unhook the antenna & take it into a Bolt & Nut supply vendor so that they can determine exactly what nut is needed? I'm assuming you've searched the bilge area for the original nut?

Re: power antenna
Yes. I checked down in the bilge area, but what I'm needing is the one that is on top. I thought it came off while in the garage at the lake, but could not find anywhere on the ground. Not quite sure how it ever came off. I think there is a molded plastic piece on top along with a retaining nut. Not sure.

Re: power antenna
Unfortunately i dont believe we ever found out who the original manufacturer was for these units or a source for replacement parts. We've had a few members simply replace theirs with an aftermarket unit as a solution to the problem. Perhaps one of our members with a power antenna can provide a close up pic of the mounting area to help you out.

Re: power antenna
I think I remember at one time someone had mentioned that there was a person on ebay that had bought out what was left of Mariah parts and was selling them. Does anyone happen to have that info.

Re: power antenna
It's Great Lakes Skipper. He bought SOME of the old Mariah parts. I've never seen him have anything like this. Everything at the final factory auction went to different buyers. Man, what I wouldn't give to have the final list of what went to whom....
I honestly think it's an automotive power antenna, I'm almost certain of it. I've tried to get a look at mine multiple times and have never found any identifying features on it at all. And when you google "marine power antenna", there's really no matches other than VHF stuff. Yet when you search for "power antenna replacement", the shopping results at the top show almost exact matches of what mine looks like. Check ebay, and type in "power antenna" and look at the majority of the hits, they look just like it but fit Camry's, Lincoln Town Cars, etc.. |
