I bought a 1990 Mariah MX 19 so i thought.When i went to get a cover from Overtons 1990 did not come up? Contacted mariah and they told me mariah was not manufactured by mariah in 1990.Who made this boat in 1990? Stickers were MX19 but title reads 18 foot.Never took the time to mesure it.When it comes it docking it its 18 foot i guess? Got the boat 2 years ago and used it for the 2 years.Now its time for the restoratin.Seats are shot.carpet shot.and floor roted.Not sure how day.Saturday will be the start. ANY HELP WITH THINGS I SHOULD LOOK FOR???? not the Obvious? going to redo.all electronics and wireing since its all apart....My father had a 1969 42 foot All wood Pacemaker.So i am ready for this job...Just might have to ask for some help along the way.Hope i can get the answers from some new Friends here.Will try to post some pics.Thanks,Mikey

It sounds like you have the new Mariah & the original Mariah confused. New Mariahs (as made by SeaFox) didn't begin production until 2003. The original Mariah was made by Mariah Boats Inc (as owned by Jimmy Fulks) & produced boats from 1990 - 2002 when they closed their doors & sold everything off. The new Mariah manufacturer only bought the name and a few molds and does not provide support or parts for the original Mariah. Mariah did make boats in 1990 but not an MX19. They made an 1850, a 2000 and a 2150. The MX19 was introduced in 1991. Check the last 2 digits of the hull id and that will give you the model year. Also, if you click on the link for "Gallery" above, you will see photos of each of those boats mentioned.

As for the restoration, it will be costly if you want to go original as seats/trim pieces/glass and consoles are virtually impossible to find. As much as i would like to see a Mariah restored, give some thought to the cost vs the value once done. Here's a link to NADA where you can get an idea of the boat's value.

Also, if you'd like to send me your hull ID number via PM (Private Message), I can look up the exact model of your boat for future reference. I have copies of the factory build sheets up to 1995.

mikey ive started the same mess only on a 1990 2150xlc and so far ive found that no matter how bad it looks you will find something soon that will make the project worse. I have never done this before but know enough people that have. the one thing i have learned personally is not to use cheap stuff and not to rush thru anything. Its gonna be tough and its gonna be expensive. I hope that is not obvious.

I have a 1995 Barchetta. Do you have the build out sheets for that one?

Build sheets are available to Jan 1995. As stated below. PM your hull ID# to ShabahZ250 and he will check the sheets to see if he has the information.

I'll answer your message here since there may be others in the same situation. Most of the original graphics and decals are still available thru one of our members (95 z240 talari aka Mike Eftink). You can find his contact information here in our Parts Vendors List or he also sells his wares here under the name Eftinkboats on eBay. Tell him you are a member of the Mariah Owners Club & we referred you to him.

As for the seats, yes they were the same in '94 and '95 but finding original replacements is very difficult. I had my drivers seat redone by a local marine upholstery shop at a cost of $350 & they even hand stitched the Mariah name in for me. Used seats will come up for sale once in a while here in our Marketplace and less often on eBay/Craigslist/Kijiji etc.

thats cool. my seats were never monogrammed with mariah however it would be really cool to have done! The point in at now is just having the 2 captains seats redone to the closest colors i can get which is teal and white, pretty easy to find. the transom seats is a big old box with storage in the box and hinges on the bottom to allow it to move forward to gain access to the engine. building a box is easy enough. I emailed mariah/seafox several times about buying those actual mariah monogrammed seats they would use in new production boats , just to add a bit of claSS to the old girl, and those people are not helpful.
