Re: Window Frame Foam Insert
I just went to Lowes or Home Depot (cant remember which) & bought some weather stripping that was approximately the same size. Worked just fine. I'm sure you can still get it thru some of the boating vendors (West Marine/Overtons etc) and from TaylorMade but you'll be paying a bit of a premium for something that's really nothing more than a space filler to hide the windowscreen frame screws.

I used 3/4"x1/2" Neoprene weatherstrip I purchased from Ebay. Here is the link.
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices Worked out perfect and it is more dense than the regular stuff at the hardware store. :) Larry |

Re: Window Frame Foam Insert
I was also tracking down the replacement for that as well. I've been working with Taylor Made for the factory replacement. They no longer make the foam rubber insert, but have replaced it with a full black rubber channel that cover the insert, and locks over the top of the stainless molding.
Its part# 8349030, and is sold for 3.31 per foot- for 6' or 100' (I asked) plus 25.00 for handling, plus shipping to your door. If you want to go this route, here is the contact information I have. For the money, (where does it end...) I'll try some of the other ideas first. I think after looking at mine, any good foam to place in there would be good. |
