Oxidation
9 Attachment(s)
Using rubbing compound and wax to remove oxidation. I didn't take pics of the side I already done, but heres what it looked liked.
Added pics of after buffing this side. Also took darkcalling's advise and hit the trailer. Looks a lot better. I'll still have to paint the trailer but looks better for now. |

This is what it looked like after. I just did the wine, I haven't done the white yet. It's not perfect but better.

Re: Oxidation
Looks awesome. I had a bad oxidation issue when I bought my boat. I used Turtle car oxidation remover. It turned out really good, and shiny but I think I could have gotten even better results with a boat oxidation remover, and here is why. A boats gel-coat is much thicker than a cars clear coat. So car oxidation removers are much less aggressive and don't cut into the surface as much. Come next spring if I still believe I could do better I will have another go at it with a boat buffing compound and see if I cant get better results. But again yours looks great. Good Job.

Re: Oxidation
I used natical ease super duty fiberglass cleaner. Then came back with nautical ease polish/cleaner. I'm still going to wax it with a gelcoat wax to see if I can get more shine.

Re: Oxidation
looks good, when i bought my boat it had heavy oxidation. I used rubbing compound and those little read balls they use to buff rims with, took a long time but the end result was awesome.
