Engine Safety
 

Greeetings fellow boaters,

Ive recently repowered my 235 Davanti with a mercruiser 5.0 and I found that the "Engine Safety" button disables the juice to my coil, what is the proper operation of the Engine Safety (pull button) located to the right of the helm next to the cig lighter ?

Ive bypaseed the switch and now have power to my coil,.. but Id like to set it up properly.

Could you post a pic it saounds like your safety kill button that is usually lanyarded to your key or you to kill the engine in emergency.
