1998 Shabah 180 SE
Does anyone have any information on this model? Looking for beam size and standard features that came on the SE. There's one for sale by me and want to make sure I'm comparing apples/apples when comparing it to others for price, options, hours, etc. This one has original chariot trailer, looks to be in good shape for hull. Seat re-upholstered, but done on the cheap... no headrests on rear bench and no Mariah Logo/stitching. Only has 131 hrs.
Thanks in advance... still hunting for my mariah. |
Re: 1998 Shabah 180 SE
I dont know about a '98 180 SE (brochure doesn't show one) but the '97 model year had a 180SE. Basically they are the standard edition with the usual Mariah options plus a few new (for '97) goodies such as vented windshield, cellphone jack,"Dino" italian steering wheel and lockable ski storage area . Beam is 92", weight approx 2200lbs with the 3.0L & 2400 with the 4.3L, 30gal fuel tank. You can confirm the model year by the last 2 digits of the hull ID#.

Re: 1998 Shabah 180 SE
mikeyt, thanks for the info. Hull number does indicate a 98, and the decal on the boat says 180SE, so I'm guessing they must have made one that year. Sorry to hear it's a 7'-8" beam. I was hoping for the 8'-6". Did that only come starting in the 99 model year and likewise with the introduction of the 182?

Re: 1998 Shabah 180 SE
mikeyt, did I read right that the 97 has the 7'-8" beam? It seams from all the pics in the gallery that the 98's have 4 headrests at back bench and the 97's have 3 headrests. Maybe 98 was the intro of the 8'-6" beam?

Re: 1998 Shabah 180 SE
The '98 brochure indicates that the 180 still has a 92" beam. The '99 brochure indicates that both the 182 and 183 have a 92" beam.

Re: 1998 Shabah 180 SE
I just bought a Mariah 182 w/3.0 engine. Trying to find out all the buttons and there use. Where can I find an operators manual. Also I was told it was a 98 model and the last 2 numbers of vin is 98; but nada does not show mariah 182 in 1998.

They made a '183' in 1998. As for the manuals read the STICKYS at the top of the Introductions forum. |
