Re: Blower question
Got a call from the mechanic. He flushed out the cooling system and that checked out okay. He found that the fuel injection pump wasn't working properly and was starving the engine of fuel making it run lean and that's why it has been running too hot. He said the pump locked up completely when he was testing it. $600 for the new pump.

Re: Blower question
Ouch, but glad to here it at the same time. And it shows we learn something new. It could have always been worse, an injector pump is still less than a new engine. Let me know how it runs when you get it back.

Re: Blower question
The blower in my 225 vented to just over the swim platform, in the engine bay.
I knew this was not ideal so I used some 4" dryer vent and extended it to the starbord side grill. I removed the grill, tywrapped the duct to it and slid the 3" blower vent inside the 4" extension. Duct tape was used but probably not needed. There is now airflow out the grill you could dry your hair with ( although your hair may smell like gas). |
