Thinking of buying my first Mariah

Hello Everyone!

Thanks for this site. Much like golfballdriver I am considering my first Mariah purchase. And yes, after some intitial investigation I am/was skeptical. However it appears from my brief time on this site that everyone speaks highly of these boats.
Here's the lowdown on the boat I'm looking at: it's a 2000 Mariah 212 Shabah Runabout, 91 hours, 5.0 EFI Alpha, includes all covers available, and the trailer. I have not seen it in person but from the pictures it looks great. I'm quite impressed with the total layout of the boat, the cockpit instuments etc. look great.
I'm not sure if I can post the many pictures that are available, but I'll try. Any comments and feedback would be great, thanks again for this site.

Welcome to the forum.

We speak highly of these boats because there is plenty to speak highly about.

...and it appears you 've found another fine specimen, that looks to have been well maintained. If the motor and drive check out it, looks to be gold, and you will probably not regret the purchase in the least.

Welcome to the board Tnboats! I saw this boat pop up on ebay the other day too. It is in great shape, and appears to have been babied. 91 hours and garage kept? You probably couldn't ask for better treatment!

This boat appears to be meticulously maintained, just look at the bilge area underneath the motor, it's completely spotless! This boat is a perfect example of people who know how to take care of their boats.

I would expect this boat to run in the price range of 11-15k. If it were a Z-Series, it'd be a few grand more.

This boat would be perfect, and I wouldn't hesitate about buying it if it's within your price range. :wink_thumbup:

Hi TnBoats,

Welcome aboard!!

I saw this on eBay too and I have to agree 100% with ShabahZ250! One owner with maintenance records to boot, if the price is right, jump on it!

If the pictures do it justice, it's not often you find a 8 year old boat that looks like it just came off the showroom floor, even the trailer and wheels looks pristine.

Best of all, it's a Mariah, so you can't go wrong!

Good luck,
WetWilly

Welcome TnBoats,
Echo the comments above. You can't go wrong with these boats. Take it for a trial on the water and you will see the difference Mariah offers from other boats!

Ask the owner why he/she is selling it....my guess is they will be sad to see her go.

As a note to All: The Chicago Boat and RV show is Jan. 16-20th at McCormick Place (downtown). Nice show for those in the Great Lakes area!
