Low voltage at horn switch
 

I am trying to fix the horn. Making it work would be easy but to figure out whats actually wrong hasnt been. There is only 7-8v coming into the switch. Reading the schematics it seems the power should come from the fusebox straight to the switch however it does not seem to. There is a full 12v coming off the fuse. I traced the wires both directions until they went into the large harness. The feed from the fuse has 12v when it enters and the feed to the switch has 7-8 when it enters. Where could it go the switch is only 3 feet from the fuse and the horn. The main reason I wish to "fix" rather than make work is it may well be causing other problems I dont know about yet.

There should not be a 5v loss in 500 feet let alone 3.
If you hit the horn, loading the circuit does it drop to zero?
Bad connectors would be my first thought.

No hitting the horn its still the same voltage coming out as going in. The easy fix is to feed 12v switched to the lead side of the switch. It works as it should then. I also have lower than 12v on the purple wires at the engine they test out to be 9v. But that may just be reduced for the ignition.

I'd clean up the ground. From the battery back to the ground of all other circuits.
