Hin
Just inherited a Mariah boat and wanted to learn more about it by searching the HIN. Any ideas?
1999 Mariah 182/183 Shabah. Thank you. henry |
Re: Hin
Henry,
I am assuming you are looking for where the HIN is located. The HIN, in most cases, would be on the stern on the starboard side etched/inlaid into the gelcoat. Sanu |
Re: Hin
Have the HIN, wanted to search online to find out details about the boat based on the HIN.
What options does it have, etc.. Thanks for your reply. |
Re: Hin
Hi Henry there is a section for contributing members that will tell you some things from the brochures that came out, but as for model specific manuals no such luck.

Re: Hin
Oh ok. I apologize for not understanding your question properly. As for what you are looking for, I will have to let someone more knowledgeable answer that since I did not know that you could find options on the boat by looking at the HIN. I thought the HIN would only tell you the manufacturer, the boat serial number and the date of certification. I don't think there is a database which has what serial number came with what options.

Re: Hin
Yeah I only mean the advertisements they sent out on them model specific options I don't think so, but I could be wrong.I know in the contributing members section I found the Z option list aswell as the Limited option lists, they were general for most Mariahs I think though.

Re: Hin
:shakehead: hi Henry. Unfortunately we only have the production database information available up to January 1995. One of our members apparently does have the balance of that information and we are presently attempting to secure that documentation for our site.

Re: Hin
The HIN really doesn't have any secret decodings like vehicles do. There's the MAB, which says it's a Mariah, the 5 digit production serial number, then the letter of the month it was produced, and the model year is the last two digits.
Here's the info on how to decode it. http://www.mariahownersclub.com/foru...bers-hins.html The factory build sheets show the following information. -Date of Lamination -Gelcoat color combinations -Engine/Outdrive -Seating setup -Any custom options outside the standard or Z package -Ordering Dealer -Ship Date So your best bet would be to just check the standard options on the 99' 182/183 Shabah in the brochure and compare it to what you've got! |
