Holding Tank on Z260

I've recently had an issue pumping out my holding tank on my Z260; I'm not getting anything out of the tank. I checked the hoses and they appear to be connected. I was speaking to my mechanic and he said the area around the tank is a little soiled and these aluminum tanks after several years of adding tank neutralizers/deodorizer can start to deteriorate.

Anyone else having issues? I thought maybe the vent line could be clogged by dirt dobbers but the line doesn't appear to be clogged. I am the original owner (1998) and have not had issues before. Waste is going somewhere and there is no stench.

Your waste tank is aluminum? I haven't seen that many, but the few that I have seen have been plastic. So you could always tell if it was empty or not. I had this issue on our old wellcraft cruiser that we had and it turned out to be a bad pump. Mine sounded like it was working, but wouldn't prime for some reason. After I replaced it, it worked great. I don't believe the vent would have anything to do with your mascerator pump. It might be a priming issue because it is sucking air in somehow.

Hey Chris.. thanks for the reply to my post. I probably should have added I have an electric head on my boat and the water does come into the bowl and evacuates out the bottom; just like it always has. I have a name of a guy who works primarily on houseboats but is very familiar with holding tanks and these toilets. I'm going to give him a call and I'll post what he's able to find.

thanks again...

no problem at all. BTW, I believe the Macerator pump is the pump that only pumps "out" your black water tank. It does not fill your head with water and I beleive it is a vacuum assist on the flush. not sure on yours again, but on my old Wellcraft cruiser, the macerator pump was only responsible for pumping out the black water tank. Not sure about the Mariahs setup though. Wish mine had a full head! :(
