Going South
1 Attachment(s)
I can not figure out (yet) why my compass is always pointed south. Every once in a while it will wake up and do a few moves then head back to it's southern position. Everytime I start the boat the compass will move around as well as the other gauges but again she points south. Anyone have any experience with these electronic in-dash compass?

Maybe its weather sensitive, and is trying to tell you to head to Mexico?:worry_to_laugh:
Sorry, I have no idea, maybe something magnetic nearby? |
Re: Going South
Haa! Wishful thinking... Actually it took me about 7.3 seconds to figure it out this morning. Once I looked at the sending unit under the seat in the bow area just in front of the console it hit me like a brick. About a month ago i installed a 12v accessory outlet in the glove box and ran the power wire around the bow (under the seats and the front cooler), I ran the power wire right up against the sending unit... (dohhhh!):shakehead:
Now I know that I am not in the Bermuda Triangle:) |
