out drive not coming up
 

The out drive on my 95 Shabah 202 with 5.7 Merc will not fully raise up from the throttle. It will raise all the way up from the stern control. Any suggestions?:confused:

Dumb question but honestly it needs to be asked first. You are hitting the 'trailer' button as opposed to the 'trim up' switch right?

The trim up switch only moves out drive part way This is my first boat with an out drive

That's normal. That prevents you from raising the drive so much that you can damage it while under way.

The trailer button, the small rubber button that's hard to push, is on the bottom rearward corner of the throttle panel, or whatever you call it. Push that and hold it, the drive will come all the way up.
