2001 Shabah Z222 Keyless Ignition

I finally got my 2001 Z222 home yesterday and it has exceeded my expectations. I do however have a few minor issues that need to be corrected.
First the keyless ignition switch - I did not get any manuals or the codes for this switch. I looked at the Quick Silver manual on this site but mine is round and not square like the picture in the manual (not sure that makes a difference). is it possible someone knows the make of this key pad and if they are still in business?

Secondly the power rear hatch will not stay up. It powers up and down fine but once in the up position and you let go of the switch she drives herself down. I have to prop it in the up position with something. Any advice if this may be a brake or solenoid issue or are my motors just shot?

Thanks in advance...

Well as luck would have it, The previous owner of this boat never used the keyless ignition so it was still at factory default settings with a code of 0000 (not anymore as of today). So this boat operated for 10 years without someone ever using this feature huh...

Okay I also purchased 2 new motors for the rear hatch (fairly reasonable) and installed them. I was a little dissapointed in the performance as the hatch still lowered a little on it's own but was better than what I had there. My guess is that over the years the hatch has become heavier than what the 2 small motors can support. I am now considering one or two small gas shocks for assist. More to come on that.

By the way there is a small marine store by me that appears to have bought up the worlds supply of boating New Old Stock (NOS) parts and accessories. I not only found the exact motors for my hatch but also I had a rocker switch (Depth Finder) that was broken and he had it and by the bucket full...Yup! Kendor Marine Discount Boating Supplies and Boat Trailers

He doesnt list much for Mariah boats other than a few gauges but he may carry some parts that are common to all boat manufacturers for the time period.

That's Great Lakes Skipper, a huge supplier of OEM NOS parts. They also sell heavily on ebay, and occasionally have some Mariah stuff.

BTW, the keyless ignition manual is the exact same for the round and the square versions. Mine came still with the factory code of 0000 programmed into it as well. The only lousy thing is you can only program it twice, so make sure it's a number combo you won't forget! I found it extremely difficult to get support from Quicksilver (Mercury Marine) for this product, since they discontinued it many years ago. Just finding the manual I put on the site was a HUGE challenge!

Your right... That site is for Great Lakes Skipper however, the store by me is called Kendor Marine Supply who is in partnership with GLS. In addition to the website content, they have container trailers upon trailers of stuff in their yard. The containers are stacked 2 high with stuff just pouring out of them.

It may be worth calling Kendor directly for parts needed. My associates tell me that they have had luck finding old new and used parts here.

As for support from Merc... They were not very helpful with me either when I called. They sent me somewhere down south where that department is closed for Good Friday (ALREADY?).
