Hello, you probably got the problem solved by now, but, if your center bench seat is on hinges and it folds down, you should be able to duck in at the front of the motor and pull the actuator pins located at the swim deck underside. Then you can raise the hatch manually and deal with your problem. Additionally, as one of the members mentioned, an on-board battery charger is a great idea. I just installed one as part of my restoration winter project on my 96 Z 272. I plug in the shore power with an adaptor so I can plug in to my garage outlet and pesto the charger is automatically maintains the batteries and then turns itself off once the batteries are satified.

That is the exact same thing I was thinking, but wanted to read all the posts before posting. It would be easy to do and you don't risk messing anything up.

I made up a cigarette adapter to trickle charge battery in off season. Leave battery switch on.
