Anyone added a Time delay relay to their Alarm buzzer
I'm wondering if anybody has added a 15 second time delay relay to their alarm buzzer so it doesn't beeeeeeeeeeeppppppp***** when you are starting up? I'm thinking of adding one.

No. the alarm is there to instantly alert you of trouble. the reason it starts off right away is because there is no oil pressure in the engine until you get it running. My suggestion is to leave your alarm alone and just get used to it.

Maybe I'll test that some day. It would be easy enough to do with the water temp., for example. Just pull it off the sensor, which is right in front, atop the engine, and ground it. If my alarm sounded right off, every time I went to start the boat, I know I'd find it annoying. Jim |
