Mariah Shabah Weight
Hello:
I would like to purchase a 2000 closed deck 17' Mariah Shabah with a 4.3 motor. Does anyone know the weight of this boat? Is it a good boat for water sports? Thanks Bernie |
Re: Mariah Shabah Weight
I don't believe Mariah made a closed deck 17' boat in 2000. At least according to the 2000 brochure they didn't

Re: Mariah Shabah Weight
I think Bernie is referring to an early '90's model named the "2000". The 1990 brochure says the open bow version is 2850 lbs. Closed deck or cuddie should be about the same.

Re: Mariah Shabah Weight
Hello Everyone:
Thank you for your comments about the Mariah Shabah. Here is the info the dealer provided: Year: 2000 Length: 18'3" Make: Mariah Model: Z 183 ClosedDeck I/O Engine: Merc 4.3L V-6 I/O Engine Hours: 40 hours Drive: MerCruiser Alpha One I/O Perhaps this info could help in determining the weight of the boat and motor. Thanks. Bernie |
Re: Mariah Shabah Weight
Wow, I stand corrected, I didn't realize the 183 was a closed deck boat! My eyes deceived me when looking at the brochure!
Anyway, here's the specs. Length: 18' Beam: 92" Weight: 2650lbs Deadrise: 18 degrees Draft (drive up): 17" Draft (drive dn): 34" Fuel: 38 gallons Max HP: 210 Passengers: 6 Performance: 4.3L 46-51 mph Performance: 5.7L 46-51 mph (one of these must be a typo!) Hope this helps! :wink_thumbup: |
Re: Mariah Shabah Weight
the 182 is a bowrider, the 183 a closed bow :)

Re: Mariah Shabah Weight
Hello Everyone:
Thank you all for your quick response. I realize now that I will require a stronger vehicle than a Tucson GL (6-cylinder 2.7L) to pull the Mariah Shabah 183. Bernie |
